At least 20 records would make it to the final cut of Shatta Wale’s highly anticipated new album titled “After The Storm”.
Though the specific song titles have not been given, reliable information to us (www.BeenieWords.com) from Shatta Wale’s camp says, “fans should expect about 20 songs for the album.”
Our source was quick to disclose that, celebrated UK-based Ghanaian Afropop artiste, Fuse ODG, was featured on one of the songs for the upcoming album. This song he says, “has not been released yet and it is a separate joint from what Fuse ODG and Shatta Wale did called ‘Laugh Out Loud’ (LOL), which is already making waves across various media platforms”.
“After The Storm” is supposed to be officially launched in the month of April 2016, but no specific date has been published yet by Shatta Wale nor his Management. Meanwhile, rumours have it that the album launch is likely to happen at the Independence Square in Accra (where the launch can host a mammoth crowd), thus, laced with a mega concert.
Most of the songs o the “After The Storm” album is said to have been produced by Shatta Wale himself, of which at least 70% of the records are rumoured to be Dancehall. Shatta Wale himself on several occasions has disclosed and maintained that he is more of a Dancehall artiste than any other genre, even though he is versatile on any other.
Shatta Movement fans are in high demand for details on the album launch but Shatta Wale and his Management are taking out time to gradually provide details on the launch. We would drop further details as and when we get it and keep you all posted on events leading to the official launch and its aftermath.
Shatta Wale is one of the very outspoken and bold Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall singjays who has been able to defend the genre over the past years. For about 3 years consistently, Dancehall & Reggae music in Ghana has sat on almost all the other genres in Ghana. No big concert in Ghana happens again without the inclusion of Acts aligned with this genre.
The multiple award-winning Dancehall Icon was announced earlier this week to perform at the upcoming Oxford Africa Conference 2016.
