Celestine Donkor vents her anger at the VGMA’s after bagging 5 Nominations
Multiple Award winning Gospel musician Celestine Donkor is highly disappointed by the decision of organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards not to nominate her for the Best Collaboration category after bagging 5 Nominations.
In an interview with MzGee on 3FM, Celestine Donkor revealed that her song enjoyed massive airplay across the globe and deserved to be nominated in the Best Collaboration Cateogry.
She indicated she was shocked when she read her ‘Agbebolo’ song, which featured youngster Nhyiraba Gideon did not get nomination in that category.
Celestine Donkor further took to her Instagram page to question the VGMA Board on why they omitted her in the category above.
“Dear VGMA, I do appreciate 5 nominations for # Agbebolo. But I’m really surprised this song didn’t pass for Best Collabo. Is it because Nhyiraba Gideon is a child?” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Celestine Donkor received 5 nominations with her new single Agbebolo at the VGMA’s final nominations event which was held in Accra last weekend.
