Ghanaian artiste to Charge Fans for Facebook Live streams

Popular social networking platform, Facebook has announced that it’ll be adding an option for people to charge for Facebook Live stream videos.

According to Facebook, the motive of this new option is “To support creators and small businesses”.

“We plan to add the ability for Pages to charge for access to events with Live videos on Facebook – anything from online performances to classes to professional conferences,” the announcement reads.

This literally means that Ghanaian artistes with may soon start charging fans and followers who access their Facebook Live streams.

So far celebrities like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Becca, Efya and Wendy Shay are the most followed artistes on Facebook and might be raking huge amount of cash soon.

However, Facebook has yet to clarify if there will be any limitations as to who’ll be able to use the feature.
