Ghanaian rapper, Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin, popular known as Joey B has waded into the ongoing controversy sparked by Sammy Gyamfi, the Director of Communication for the opposition party, NDC.
This comes after the NDC spokesperson was met with heavy backlash over the George Floyd-Electoral Commission related photo he shared on his Social media handles.
George Floyd was an African-American man who died last week after a Police Officer in America kneeled on his neck during his arrest. His death has ignited all Blacks and anti-racists to show solidarity and protest against the American Government and racism.
The artwork shared by Sammy Gyamfi also depicted Ghana’s Electoral Commissioner, Jean Mensah, and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo choking and kneeling on Ghanaians with a new voter register.
Commenting on the photo, Joey B likewise called on the NDC spokesperson to stop defending his actions and delete his post.
He wrote, “big man, its ok. just delete it.”
