Nigerian singer-songwriter Patoranking has finally released the much awaited song ‘Abobi’ along with an accompanying music video, just as he promised. This comes after he shared a snippet of the song on his respective social media timelines days ago.
In Abobi, Patoranking speaks out against social problems including police brutality, neighborhood fights, and tribal disputes as a catalyst to remind not just Africans or Nigerians but the entire globe that we are one. This is the second song off his upcoming album, which is currently in the creative process.
BNXN ft. Kizz Daniel & Seyi Vibez – Gwagwalada
Nigerian Afrobeat artist BNXN has officially released his much-anticipated single “Gwagwalada” on February 16, 2023. The song, which also features new school sensation Seyi Vibez and Nigerian serial hit-making machine Kizz Daniel, was produced by Sarz. The song’s first teaser was posted by BNXN on his social media accounts, and it quickly garnered a lot of attention. The full-length audio of “Gwagwalada” is a testament to the trio’s musical prowess, and it is sure to be a hit with fans of Afrobeat and Nigerian music in general.
Rema – Reason You + Holiday
Nigerian international superstar Rema is back in action in 2023 with the release of his first release of the year. Rema appears to have a thing for February, as his most recent singles, “Holiday” and “Reason You,” are headed in the same direction as his worldwide smash “Calm Down,” which he released in February of last year.
Blaise Beatz, a successful record producer, produced the song “Holiday,” and Belgian beatmaker Alex Lustig produced “Reason You.” Both songs mark Rema’s first official releases since he and American pop culture icon Selena Gomez unleashed the record-breaking global blockbuster “Calm Down Remix.”
SPINALL – Top Boy (ALBUM)
SPINALL announced the debut of his brand-new, star-studded album named “TOP BOY” with the release of the single “Bunda” earlier this month, which features YBNL kingpin Olamide and rising singer-songwriter Kemuel.
There are 15 tracks on the TOP BOY LP in total. Along with a few international celebrities, it includes some of the best singers in the current African music scene. Some of the performers on the album include DJ Snake, 6lack, BNXN (also known as Buju), Nasty C, Asake, Fireboy DML, Olamide, Minz, and Niniola.
A direct sequel to SPINALL’s critically acclaimed 2020 album, Grace, is TOP BOY.
Rexxie ft. Wizkid, Naira Marley and Skiibii – Abracadabra Remix
Finally answering Rexxie’s appeal, Wizkid joins the remix of the chart-topping song “Abracadabra” as the international superstar. The remix, which also features the incredibly catchy rhymes of Naira Marley and Skiibii, has been unlocked, cleared, and made available to the general public.
Abracadabra Remix, which Rexxie himself produced, is the beatmaker’s first release of 2023 and a sequel to his partnerships with Zinoleesky on “No More Condition” and Busiswa, L.A.X, and Shashie on the amapiano song “Lagos.”
