Kimilist ft Kwame Yesu & Yaw Tog – Sika
If there’s anything as people we can never stop wanting, pushing for or loving, it is money. For one thing or the other money is involved in everything we do. While others seem to get it easily, others have to go the extra mile for it. It is on this same money subject that Ghanaian musician Kimilist signed to Mimlife Records draws inspiration for his first Single of the year.
Titled “Sika” which is Twi for Money, the song features Yaw Tog and Rebo Tribe’s Kwame Yesu. This song adds up to the rappers impressive discography which had a boost last year with his song “Kyer3” featuring Medikal and Kwame Yesu.
Kimilist shares his experience of constantly searching for money. Just like every other young person, money is the one thing that makes living easier and comfortable. However, making money does not come easy as one would think. The trio take turns to express their own experiences on the quest if securing the bag.
“You keep on working and working but you never seem to get enough. It gets harder when you have to loose sleep all because you want to get some greens to make life better for you and your family.” – Kimilist
The song is produced by Iyke Parker and mixed and mastered by Nixieofficivl.

Phronesis – Ateka
KNUST student and reggae/dancehall/afro fusion artiste, Phronesis has released a two track project titled “Phro Day”. The project he calls a Single Pack is to mark the celebration of a new year being added to his age.
In his usual show of versatility, the project has two distinct songs: “Ateka” and “Mulla”.
“Mulla” does justice to the young artiste’s vocals as he earnestly sings about the one thing we all love and crave: money and on “Ateka”, he winds over the beat, singing about disappointment and betrayal over an upbeat Afrobeats production that should have anyone singing along and dancing in no time.
Both singles… “Mulla” produced and mastered by Psyko and “Ateka” produced by Sadi Day and mastered by Webzy…are a testament to the young artiste’s talent and determination to succeed in the music scene. “Phro Day” comes months after the release of his debut EP, “Evergreen”

At the start 2020, Lagos rapper Laycon only had one single to his name, the bouncy anthem “Fierce”, released shortly after he signed to indie label Fierce Nation Entertainment.
