Pheelz ft. BNXN (Buju) – Finesse

Prolific Nigerian producer and songwriter, Pheelz has considered the requests of his fans to reschedule the release date of his upcoming single titled ‘Finesse’ featuring talented Nigerian singer-songwriter BNXN (formerly known as Buju).

As the anticipation for the song ‘Finesse,’ which features BNXN heightens up, Pheelz has responded to the fans’ requests and pushed the release date forward to today’s date.  Following a video the producer posted on the platforms on February 5, 2022, the line ‘Folake for the night’ became popular on tik tok and Twitter.

The highly anticipated song has finally been dished out and it’s worth all the wait.

1Da Banton ft. Kizz Daniel & Tiwa Savage – No Wahala (Remix)

Nigerian recording music artist, 1da Banton finally releases the highly awaited remix of his heavy hit tune “No Wahala” after a series of teasers on social media. The song, which is featured on his debut album “Original Vibe Machine,” has been making charts since its release.

On the new “No Wahala Remix,” 1da Banton enlists the help of Flyboi’s Kizz Daniel and Tiwa Savage.

Blaise Beats deserves a lot of credit for the production.

Cruel Santino ft. Koffee – Deadman Bone

Cruel Santino connects with Jamaican music star Koffee on Deadman Bone.

Singer, songwriter, rapper, filmmaker, visual artist, Cruel Santino flexes all of his creative muscles on Subaru Boys : FINAL HEAVEN.

Influenced by his love of anime, gaming, and exploring new soundscapes, the project fuses multiple story arcs into a sonic tale of war and glory. “ I wanted to make something more than just music,” he tells Apple Music; “something that when you hear it, you just think ‘Where am I; where are you taking me to?’ I had to create a world before I made the music. I feel like world-building is kind of key when you want to make a sound; it makes you have no boundaries.”

He’s joined on this epic narrative by a diverse range of guests including Skepta, Amaarae and Koffee .

Skillz 8Figure – Coco Butter

Burgeoning act Skillz 8Figure dispenses “Coco Butter” an ode to late-night feels. The kickback snare starting off the song immediately pulls you to the song giving off bedroom feels as Skillz’s sensual smooth coastal melodies grace over the mellow beat.

Glorifying a baddie’s image “thick thigh, nipple pierced titties” the song is a sonic composition written in the key of F that the connection between the music and the act is impossible to miss. Skillz adores his type of woman promising nothing but a good time. Coming after his refreshing single Mind, and “Bliss”, Coco Butter is a deeper dive into his sensual mind.

Barry Jhay ft. Zlatan – Ayewada (Remix)

Barry Jhay taps Zlatan for the remix of Ayewada which is the sixth track housed under the ‘Son Of God’ album.

Months removed from the police investigation that threatened to derail his promising career, Barry Jhay returns with a fresh cache of silky Afropop tunes, steeped in the traditional flavour of Fuji, the storied genre that his father, the legendary musician Ayinde Barrister, helped pioneer.

Whereas 2020’s Barry Back was the sonic codification of halcyon times, 2022’s SON OF GOD is forged of grittier stuff, inspiring bouts of introspection across its 21-minute runtime. It’s an ode to perseverance and experimentation that sees Jhay engage with new ideas and concepts. On opener “Level Up”, he calmly whispers that he’s allergic to trouble with a distinct trap flow, while “Story”, built around the storytelling tradition of Fuji, recounts his journey to the top of his craft and the sacrifices that come with success.

The remix of 2021 hit “Ayewada” is a bright spot; street rapper Zlatan accessories the track with his high-octane ad-libs. Ghanaian Kuami Eugene is the project’s other guest, joining Jhay to bring a street-adjacent love anthem to life on “Right by You”.

Skiibii ft. Tory Lanez – Baddest Boy (US Remix)

Nigerian Afrobeat/Afropop singer, Skiibii links up popular American rapper Tory Lanez for the US Remix of his buzzing tune ‘Baddest Boy’

Baddest Boy‘ achieved commercial status after tapping Davido for the original remix of the song.

The song is also housed under his debut album ‘God Is Bigger Than Man’, a seven tracklist body of work that features the likes of Dej Loaf, Zlatan and Crayon.

Magixx – Chocolate

Following his opener for the year titled ‘Love Don’t Cost A Dime (Re-up)’ featuring label mate Ayra Starr, Mavin Records talented singer-songwriter Magixx puts out his second single of the year and it is titled ‘Chocolate‘.

The Mavin Records camp promised music lovers and enthusiasts a lot of goodies this year and have so far stuck to their words.

King Promise ft. WSTRN – Bad N Rude

Talented Ghanaian singer-songwriter, King Promise releases his first single of 2022 prior to his second studio project dubbed ‘5 Star’.

The Legacy Life Entertainment music artiste links up with British Afroswing collective WSTRN which consists of Akelle Charles, Haile, and Louis Rei for his opener of the year titled ‘Bad N Rude.

‘Bad N Rude’ is a beautifully crafted bop that incorporates diverse sonics from King Promise and WSTRN alongside a lush 4Play production.

Pappy Kojo ft. Medikal – Awesome

‘Awesome’ is the third song housed under Pappy Kojo’s Logos Hope EP and it features award-winning rapper Medikal.

On Logos Hope, the sequel to his debut album Logos II, Pappy Kojo unleashes his unparalleled coastal vim and trademark laidback flow to good measure across six tracks.

The Ghanaian superstar salutes his childhood in the port city of Takoradi, which he has constantly referenced in his music. “If Logos II was a remembrance of the past, Logos Hope is a statement of the future,” he states.

Frequent collaborator Medikal (“Awesome”) and others like Asakaa drill artists O’Kenneth and Reggie (“Koobi”) also help midwife an album of good memories, and a renewed drive to conquer new territories.

Omah Lay ft. Justin Bieber – Attention

Nigerian Afrobeat prodigy, Stanley Omah Didia, widely known as Omah Lay has finally shared the full-length version of his long-awaited collaboration with Canadian Pop star Justin Bieber.

The Port-Harcourt-born singer has been teasing and assuring fans that new music would be released in 2022, surprising them with a collaboration with Justin Bieber.

On his respective social media timelines, quite a number of people were in doubt based on the comments they made as regards to whether this supposed collaboration will be dropping this week or not.

Omah Lay has stopped these doubting Thomas’s in their tracks with a full-length version of the earlier teased song. ‘Attention’ is a beautiful merger of voices between Omah Lay and Justin Bieber.

Furthermore, ‘Attention’ will register as Justin Bieber’s second collaboration with a Nigerian Afrobeat artiste with the first being the remix of Essence by Wizkid.
