Talented Nigerian singer-songwriter, Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema has revealed the tale behind his hit song “Calm Down.”
The Afro-fusion song, created by Andre Vibez, became an instant hit, topping charts and setting numerous records, even on a global scale.
The Mavin/Jonzing World signee told Glitch Africa that the song was inspired by a circumstance in which he met a female at a party and tried to get to know her, which he found challenging.
According to him, the emotional connection forced him to tell the girl to “cool down,” an idiom that means “take things easy” and allow him to communicate how he truly feels.
