Wizkid Earns Two Nominations In the 2022 Grammy Awards

Nigerian Afrobeat star, Wizkid has once again received a nod at the 2022 Grammy Awards with nominations in two different categories.

Wizkid was nominated for the Best Global Music album and Best Global Music Performance at the 2022 Grammy Awards in a full list released by the Recording Academy on Tuesday, 23rd of November, 2022.  He was nominated alongside Arooj Aftab, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti, Yo-Yo Ma in the category of Best Global Music Performance whereas competing with Rocky Dawuni, Daniel Ho, Angelique Kidjo, Femi Kuti and Made Kuti in the category of Best Global Music Album.

The 2022 event will hold on Monday, the 31st of January at the Staples Center. The 2022 Grammy Nominations is the third step in the Recording Academy’s process of selecting this year’s winners.

Wizkid’s nomination in the two categories at the 2022 Grammy Awards was for his last album, Made in Lagos in the Best Global Music Album category and Essence featuring Tems in Best Global Music Performance category.
